An autumn of major trade fairs

After the summer break, trade fair activity starts up again in September with several major international events. There are also new events related with strategic sectors for the future, such as technology and sustainable economies.

The intense calendar of the second half of the year is evidence of the effort made by Fira de Barcelona to innovate and attract important events, reinforcing its role as a major economic driver and generator of business and social value in its region.

Among the main salons for this autumn are:

Euro Attractions Showeuro attractions
20th to 22nd September
This is the largest European fair for theme parks. There will be over 450 exhibitors from 60 countries presenting the latest innovations in the sector. More than 10,000 professionals from around the world are expected to attend. +info

CPhl Worldwide
4th to 6th October
This is the main event for the pharmaceutical industry in Europe, with 2,500 exhibitors from different sectors (ingredients, excipients, services, machinery and packaging) occupying the whole capacity of the Gran Via site. More than 36,000 visitors are expected from 150 countries. +info

Boat Shownáutico
12th to 16th October
This is the essential event for professionals and all those interested in sailing as a sport and as a hobby. Held in Barcelona’s Port Vell, it will present the latest models in boats and all type of material for practising water sports. +info

Hostelco
23rd to 26th October
This is the leading national fair and an international reference for the sector of equipment for restaurants, hotels and other communities. It will bring together nearly 1,000 brands and more than 50,000 visitors.

IoT Solutions World Congressiot
25th to 27th October
Second edition of the main event for the industrial applications of the Internet of Things, a technology sector with great growth potential. It will bring 200 international speakers, over 160 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors.

Smart City Expo World Congress
15th to 17th November
The benchmark Congress on smart cities. There will be the latest technological advances and new projects to make the cities of the future more sustainable and to guarantee a better standard of living for its inhabitants. There will be 560 cities, 480 exhibitors, 420 speakers and 14,000 visitors present. +info

Ibtm World
29th November to 1st December
Everything about business trips, congresses and incentive travel. This is the world’s number one meeting in this sector, with over 3,000 companies from 100 countries taking part. +info

New events

Barcelona Games World
6th to 9th October
A new fair of video games and digital entertainment aimed at consumers and professionals from the sector. It will bring together the big names, who will be launching their latest releases and offering leisure experiences, spectacles and activities. It is organized in collaboration with the Spanish Video Game Association (AEVI) and Fira. +info

Iwater Barcelona
15th to 17th November
A Fair dedicated to the water management cycle with a focus on technology and innovation. Besides the exhibitions, with solutions for extraction, treatment, distribution, recycling and reuse, it is also running a full programme of conferences with high profile speakers. +info

Circular Economy
15th to 17th November
A new proposal by Fira for the sustainability sector. This is a new congress on the “circular economy” to analyse this new model for the reuse of materials and resources that has the capacity to transform the present economic paradigm. +info
